Prof.P.Jagadeeswara Rao with Educational Qualifications, Ph.D.in Watershed Management, Andhra University, Visakhapatnam 1998; M.Tech (RS & GIS) CSSTEAP, UNO (Affiliated)-2007; Post M.Sc.(Tech) Hydrogeology (AU,1990); M.Sc (Geology) Andhra University, 1986; Course on Disaster Management (CSSTEAP, UNO Affiliated); Trained on MDP (ALP) in IIM-Kozhikode; has Research Expirence of 31 Years, In the areas of Water Resources Management, Disaster Management, Ground Water targeting using RS & GIS. Also had 14 Years of profesional experince as a professor. His Research Publications includes 3 Books, 52 Published papers in National and International journals where 12 are International Journals and 40 are National Journals. His Research Projects are Ground water Mapping and targeting in Srikakulam & Khammam DistrictsFunded ISRO; Geospatial study on Coastal Erosion and Mangrove degradation in the KrishnaGodavari Delta Region, Andhra Pradesh, India- DST-NRDMS (Ongoing),2017-2019); A study on coastal dynamics and shoreline management along central Andhra Coast. (on going); International Project: Data Collection and Facilitation for the of water for Sustainable Development (WSD) Project in India UN University, Tokyo (On going). He has an International award IGU Member in Disaster and Risk. and has 3 State/National awards ISRS Visakhapatnam best chapter award, Faculty Recognition Award 2018-Syamala Education Society, Distinguish Researcher Award by SSDMEA Visakapatnam. His Presented Papers in Seminars / Conferences are 22 where 12 are National and 10 are International.
